Not uite what I was hoping for I wanted a book I could assign in a class on The Gothic Imagination as background to our poetry and novels It turns out to be a slightly odd mix of introductory and analytic which would be okay except that they re not separated in a useful way It s a good reference book for me for preparing and reminding myself of issues to make sure I deal with just not the book I was seeking
